Here's how to list your events, web links and news on Scandiretory.org: First, Register - Create an account by registering using the link at the lower left of this page
- Then, confirm your registration by replying to the email you receive
How to submit information - After registering and answering your confirmation email, log on with your new user name and password. You must be logged in to post events, web links or news.
- Visit the Calendar page and find an icon on the upper left of the calendar grid that says "add event."
- Click it and fill in the form that will appear. Please note that a category is necessary. We only have one category, general, at this time, but it must be chosen from the drop down list.
- You also need to choose the event date from the drop down lists, or your event will appear on the current date.
- PLEASE NOTE:
Your event will NOT be posted until after it is approved by the Web Master
- Find the User Menu on the lower left of your page.
- Choose the navigation link"submit weblinks" and follow the directions that will appear.
- In the space for name, please enter the text by which you'd like it described (the hyperlink text)
- Enter the address (URL)
- Enter a description.
- Please note that, for now, these links will be accessable only from the links option on the top menu.
To submit news:
Apply for Author Satus
- Click on "contact us" on the main menu and complete the form to send an email requesting author status and outline the sorts of information you'd like to submit
- You'll receive an email back with an answer to your request. Please allow 24-48 hours, as this is a manual process.
- You must be logged in and have received author privilges
- Find the User Menu on the lower left of your page.
- Choose the navigation for "submit news" and follow the directions that will appear.
- Please note that you must enter a title and choose a category
- You can compose your news in the WYSIWYG edit window and use the toolbar buttons to format your text, much like a word processor. (Hover your cursor over each button to see its function). If you're proficient in HTML, you can compose in mark-up by clicking the HTML button.
- There are two text-edit windows. The first, Intro, is required. It may be all you need. If you want to keep your introduction short, or your message is long, you may wish to continue it in the main window.
